google ads
Your Google Ads campaign is running and starting to generate clicks. But unless you've got conversion tracking installed, you won't be able to see how many of those clicks are resulting in leads or sales. Without conversion tracking, there is no way to make data-driven decisions.
Conversion tracking is a powerful tool that lets you identify how well your ad campaign is generating leads, sales, downloads, email sign-ups, and other critical actions for your business. The data recorded by conversion tracking allows us to identify which areas of your campaign are working and not working, so we can optimize bids, ad text, ad extensions and keywords.
install on website
To track conversions accurately, you need to install the tracking code on your site. It is easy to do, and we'll walk you through installing Google Ads conversion tracking code to measure and evaluate your campaigns. Google Ads conversion tracking is a small snippet of code that you'll install on your site's pages. The snippet will fire when users click on an Ad campaign and then visit certain pages or click certain buttons to trigger the conversion tracker.
Google Ads relies on two things. One is a global snippet, which you place on all pages of your site. It will be used for remarketing in addition to conversion tracking. The second is the Event Code. This snippet tracks explicitly different types of conversions. The event snippet will be placed immediately after the global site tag between the <head>/<head> tags on the specific pages that you want to install the event code.
Your global snippet will always stay the same. You can place it on every page of your site, even if those pages don't signal conversions.
To accurately track different types of conversions like sales and phone calls, and leads, you need unique event codes to place your site's specific pages. Only with these specified codes will you get a view of your Ad campaigns' effectiveness.
We will send you the conversion codes for google ads together with detailed installation guidance. However, hard coding conversion snippets can be time-consuming and mistakes are common.
tag manager
For the ultimate control and ease of installation, we recommend using Google Tag Manager. Using Tag Manager reduces the amount of work required in the website to a single installation of two code snippets. After that, all conversion tags can be activated remotely without making changes to the website code.
